About Alexia
Registered Dietitian and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist.
Alexia is a registered Dietitian, qualified CBT Therapist and PIC certified Health and Wellbeing coach.
Alexia's specialist interest areas are Eating Disorders and Women’s Health, having spent over 20 years working in NHS and Private Health care services. Alexia has worked in both Child and Adolescent and Adult services.
Alexia started her professional career as a Registered Dietitian supporting individuals with their relationship with food, helping them to achieve nurturing eating patterns and behaviours as well as meeting dietary requirements along side medical needs.
Alexia has undertaken specialist training in pre-conception, Fertility and pregnancy nutrition.
Alexia has also worked in Gastroenterology services during her dietetic career.
Alexia went on to complete a Master's Degree in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), alongside specialist training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). This additional expertise enables her to support not only the nutritional aspects of health and wellbeing but also the psychological and behavioural factors that influence eating habits, body image, and long-term lifestyle change.
Alexia is a specialist women's health dietitian with expertise in supporting women through every stage of life. Her areas of interest include midlife health, perimenopause and menopause, hormonal wellbeing, and nutrition for healthy ageing. She also has extensive experience working with individuals experiencing eating disorders and disordered eating, including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder (BED), and Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), providing compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each person's needs.
At the heart of Alexia's practice is a commitment to client-centred care. She believes that every individual is unique and that successful outcomes are achieved through a collaborative, compassionate, and non-judgemental approach. Working alongside her clients, Alexia creates personalised treatment plans that reflect their values, goals, and circumstances, empowering them to develop a healthier relationship with food, improve their wellbeing, and make sustainable changes that last.
